Today the riders will continue their way through the sunny Luxembourgish scenery with the second and longest stage going from Schifflange to Differdange over 200.7 kilometers. Again hilly terrain, it goes up and down all day. This stage should not be underestimated in terms of the elevation ahead. The first climb of 8.09% awaits the peloton as it rides into Eschdorf after 74.7 kilometers, followed by the ascend in Goelt (4.98%). Subsequently, when the descend at Petit-Nobressart after 110 kilometers is passed, the steepest climb thus far appears 20 kilometers further (8.54%) and is quickly followed by the 6.88% climb at Roodt. With the track staying relatively even for the next 20 kilometers, the contenders will reach Lasauvage (1450m climb at 7.03%) at 168.3 kilometers prior to approaching the finish line, which will be crossed after the Col d’Europe is ridden three times (1500m climb at 7.6%). It is likely that a small group will escape and stay ahead, but the local circuit around Differdange gives the peloton enough opportunity to regroup and launch new attacks. Current GC: 1.
