Vuelta a España (stage 1)

Sevilla hosts the start of the 65th edition of the Vuelta Ciclista a España, which has a total of 3424 kilometres. Because of the 75th year anniversary of the race, the stage is very special: a nightly team time trial. The last time a team time trial was included, was in 2008. The 13 kilometres long course through the city is flat with a couple of difficult corners and turns. The first part along the Guadalquivir river is the most difficult. Back through the historical city, there are some long straights to increase the speed. Of course riding at night makes it a challenge for the teams, that do not want their GC riders to lose much time already. Our live updates on Twitter start at 22:00 CET and livestreams will be available too.
