Stage 6 takes the riders from Caravaca de la Cruz to Murcia (151 kilometres). There has been a stage between the 2 cities last year too, but in reverse order and with much more difficulties. Today is relatively easy as it is mostly descending and flat. But in the finale a challenge awaits. Just 21,8 kilometres before the finish, there is the ascend of the steep Alto de la Cresta del Gallo (370 metres at km 133,6 – cat. 2). In the remaining 17 kilometres to Murcia, it might be difficult for the teams with sprinters to regroup. Those planning an attack on the climb, might have a good chance to go for the win.
