Stage 7 connects Murcia with Orihuela over a distance of 187,7 kilometres. It is a straightforward stage with no major obstacles in the first 117 kilometres. But just as yesterday, there is an ascend in the final part of the stage although further away from the finish now. It is the Puerto de Hondón de los Frailes (500 metres at km 126,8 – cat. 3). It is about 60 kilometres from the summit to the finish, giving the bunch enough time to correct positions. The final 2 kilometres go slightly down, so expect a sprinters battle here.
